Workshop- Precious Metal Clay - Silver:

PMC is a type of Pure Silver Clay. It can be made into any shape just like clay used in ceramics. The water and binders are burnt off in firing to leave 99.99% pure silver (gold also available). Make your own original fine silver jewellery.

We will be producing a beautiful 99.99% Fine Silver Pendant in the fascinating introductory workshop, and some pure Silver filigree beads to add to your next beading project, and/or a hollow form pendant. The clay may be kiln fired, but needs no more than a kitchen or camp gas stove for firing. Financial outlay to begin this facinating craft is minimal.

If you have ever played with playdough or plasticine, and who hasn't, you can create with Precious Metal Clay.

You will be taught by a Level 11 Certified PMC Artisan who also has Teaching and Visual Arts qualifications, and was named Australian Metal Clay Artist of the Year 2007 by Beads etc. Magazine.

The emphasis will be on producing well finished pieces with an understanding of the processes at all stages. Only max. 6 students to a class with personalised attention guaranteed, in a friendly, fun and relaxed atmosphere.
