This technique packed course will cover an exciting range of skills to launch you into the wondeful world of wirework. You will learn to crochet in wire, twist a wonderful wire choker with a handmade wire hook and loop closure, twirl up a storm on the 'Gizmo' with a 'Springy Wire Bracelet with added Caged Beads and perfect you wire loops with the Rosary Chain Technique. The final 2 classes concentrate on the wonderful art of wirewrapping. It is recommended to do week 7 rings if you wish to do the Wire wrapped dragonfly Wk 8

This is a fun class using wire in a relatively freeform way with a variety of beads. A Great way to get the feel for using wire in Jewllery design.

Learn how to make wonderful, versitile wire springs on a 'Gizmo', neat wire loops and clever caged beads to construct this popular, yet unusual bracelet.

Taught over 2 lessons there is a wealth of useful technique taught in the project. You will fall in love with wirework. Part A and Part B can be completed in any order, at any time.

Also taught as a full day workshop 10am-4pm with  a tasty lunch included.( please notify of any special dietary requirements)

You can use Wire Crochet to make wonderfully delicate to marvellously chunky peices depending on the beads used and the technique adopted. Variations will be covered in the class.You will also learn to make a wire gimp to finish the handmade hook and eye closure neatly.

1 roll 28 guage wire (Artistic or Craft Wire)

30cm matching 22 guage wire.

You will produce a wire wrapped ring using sterling silver wire and beads, and if time permits we will explore some more freeform ring making techniques that can be completed in Artistic Wire.

30mm x .7 square Sterling Silver Half hard wire.
430mm half round Wrapping wire.

3 x 4mm beads (you may like to bring your own beads)

Take your wirework to new heights with this magnificent wire wrapping technique.

Using Sterling Silver wire you will create a wire wrapped dragonfly pendant using your choice of glass or swarovski crystal beads,.

This is not beginners project and familiarity with wire techniques and tools is  required. It is  strongly recommended to do the previous wirewrapped ring lesson to learn the basic wrapping technique first.

Purchase materials on the night

Sterling silver square and half round wire.

Swarovski crysal or glass bicone beads.

This gorgeous bracelet is not a project for a beginner. Is will be assumed that you are confident in working with wire and have completed at least one class involving wire wrapping.

We will be working with square and half round sterling silver wire and swarovski crystal, wire wrapping and competing a hook and look closure.

This is a 3 1/2 hour class.

All Wire and Beads will be available at the workshop. The cost will depend on size of bracelet and beads used. Allow around $20.
