Beadaholics offer a wide range of Technique Based classes in the Kaleen Studio

with Christen Jo Fraser (Jo) and visiting Tutors.

Precious Metal Clay with Cubic Zirconias

Classes are relaxed, friendly and everything is onsite,

so you just have to turn up and enjoy yourself.

Most classes run over 2, 4 or 8 weeks.

If you enroll in any 8 week course you get the 8th week FREE.

Weekend Workshops or Retreats are held throughout the year.

A deposit is required to hold your place in a class or workshop.

All are subject to numbers enrolling.
Early enrollment is recommended as classes fill quickly.

No places will be held without a deposit.
$100 deposit required to hold a place, refundable only if cancelled by the date 2 weeks before the class begins, so that others can arrange to take a cancelled place.

Individual and group Private Classes will be available Sundays by appointment.

Beautiful Beaded Jewellery for Beginners

This Course is Enrolled at www.lakenitelearning.com.au or walk in registrations are taken in the first week of the school term at Lake Ginninderra College, Belconnen. Classes are run in Kaleen however.

Begin your Beading Addiction with a solid grounding in the basics with this 4 week course.

You will complete 2 necklaces, two pairs of earrings and two bracelets.

All tools are provided and bead and tools are available for purchase.

$21 is collected on the first night to cover all stringing, chain and findings for the 4 week course. Just add beads on the night. Time is allowed at the beginning of each class for selecting suitable beads.

Precious Metal Clay

Precious Metal Clay is pure silver in a clay form which can be worked like paly dough but fires on a home has stove to be 99.9% pure Silver, and can be hallmarked as such.

The clay is available in a variety of forms and this course covers the uses of these and a number of different surface decoration techniques.

Most tools required for Precious Metal Clay (PMC) are easy to find around the home.

Recently Brass Clay has been intruducesd and Gold Clay is also available, however these require a kiln for firing.

The course is very flexible and participants may choose to spend more or less time on any technique, or leave out any techniques if they choose. All projects are very individual.

After completing the first two weeks the other weeks can be done in any order, at any time.

Wks 1&2 Introduction to PMC. Flat Stamped Pendant, Coiled Heart Pendant, Syringe.

Wks 3&4 Rings and Syrings, Organic Replicas, Photopolymer Plates (PPP's)

Wks 5&6 Keum Boo Gold Leaf) and Enamel and Dry Constructions.

Wks 7&8 Making and setting Dichroic Glass in Metal Clay. Setting Semiprecious Stones.

Each Class for this series covers 2 evenings x 3 hours x 4

They can be taken as an 8 week course, or one fortnight at a time.

Occasionally the Introductory class is run independantly as an introduction to this amazing product.

Needles and Strings and Knotted Things

This 8 week course explores, each week, a different technique using a variety of threads: silk, cotton, string etc. with everything from pearl knotting, to seed bead weaving, and macrame.

Threadwork requires a little more patience you might say, than the other courses, but the effort is well worth it.
